Baylor Girls Basketball Team Advances to State Title Game

The Baylor girls basketball team beat St. Benedict 68-39 on Friday in the semifinals of the Division II AA state final four at Lipscomb University in Nashville. The Red Raiders led 35-19 at halftime, and they were even better in the second half. Baylor hit nearly 62-percent of their shots in the final two quarters to pull away for the 29 point victory. Baylor had five players in double figures led by Abby Hubert with 16 points. Kaleigh Clemons added 13 points and 3 steals. The Red Raiders wound up with ten total steals in the win. Baylor advances to the state title game on Saturday at 6:30pm est. Baylor is trying to win their first ever state championship.
