Baylor Softball Opens Spring Fling With 12-1 Victory

Murfreesboro, TN-(WDEF) The Baylor softball team began defense of their state title at Spring Fling on Wednesday by posting a 12-1 victory
over St Benedict. The Lady Raiders gave up a run in the top of the first before tying the game in the bottom of the first on an
RBI base hit from Abby McNamara.
Baylor took the lead in the bottom of the second on a solo homer from Macy McKnight, who homered twice on the day.
The Lady Raiders got three more runs in the fourth, as they eventually pulled away for the 12-1 victory.
Baylor will now play rival GPS in the winner’s bracket on Thursday at 12:30pm.
