Belmont Guard and Cleveland Native Jacobi Wood Ready to Face the Mocs

When the Mocs face Belmont Wednesday in a mid-major showdown, they’ll have to contend with former Cleveland high stand-out Jacobi Wood. He’s in his second season with the Bruins, averaging almost six points a game. Wood says he’s ready to mix it up against the Chattanooga boys.

Said Wood:”I know a lot of guys on the Chattanooga team. I’m excited to have fans. People back from home are going to come and watch the game, so I’m excited to be in a good atmosphere like that. It should be very fun. I feel like it will give me some extra motivation to play against my friends. I always feel like whenever I play against people that I’m close with. I like have to go extra. Let them know we’re friends off the court, but on the court we’ve got to battle. We’ve got to go at it, so it will be fun to battle against those guys.”
