POLK COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) –  A Benton man has been arrested following an investigation by the TBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

This arrest was prompted by a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

In April 2023, investigators received information about files containing child sexual abuse material uploaded to a cloud storage account.

The TBI stated they identified the account owner as Rory Cullen Frerichs, 22, and uncovered over 150 files during the investigation.

On November 18, 2024, Frerichs was indicted on two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

He was arrested on November 22, 2024 and booked into the Polk County Jail.
