Bill introduced to protect children and families amid AI popularity

Two East Tennessee lawmakers have introduced a bill to crack down on large AI developers to guard against risks from their AI models.

They say their goal is to protect Tennessee children and their families.

But it’s not clear how they want these transparency requirements to be administered in Tennessee.

Senator Ken Yager and Representative Jason Zachary says Tennesseans overwhelmingly want legislation on AI developers.

And they say states should act and not wait for Congress.

President Trump has urged states NOT to pass AI restrictions and leave that up to the federal government.

He has even threatened to file suit against local governments that do.
