Russell Stroud was born and raised in Ringgold, GA. He started out in broadcast media at a little AM radio station in Soddy-Daisy, TN in 2012. In his decade in radio, he covered breaking news, national headlines, conducted numerous interviews, and co-hosted the morning show. He worked as a freelance journalist and audio editor before coming over to News 12.
