Russell Stroud was born and raised in Ringgold, GA. He started out in broadcast media at a little AM radio station in Soddy-Daisy, TN in 2012. In his decade in radio, he covered breaking news, national headlines, conducted numerous interviews, and co-hosted the morning show. He worked as a freelance journalist and audio editor before coming over to News 12.

When he isn’t hard at work, Russell enjoys rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and spending time with his amazing wife.
