Black Hawk used in mock rescue exercise at Fall Creek Falls

BLEDSOE COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A mock rescue exercise was conducted at Fall Creek Falls Thursday.

Bledsoe County Emergency Management (BCEM) said TN-HART simulated rescues from Fall Creek Falls and Cane Creek Falls inside the park.

However, due to prior issues with the aircraft, the hoist portion of the mock rescue was unable to be conducted.

The Black Hawk was still able to practice assessing areas.

According to BCEM, this exercise gave a demonstration of TN-HART’s capabilities if they ever need to be called upon for a real life event.
