Bledsoe County Correctional Warden Passes Away
PIKEVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Tennessee Department of Correction announces that Warden Doug Cook has died of apparent natural causes at his home.
Cook was the Warden at the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex.
He was a 32 year veteran of the Tennessee Department of Correction.
Warden Cook began his career as a correctional officer in Morgan County in 1984.
He was named as Associate Warden at Morgan County Correctional Complex in March 2014, before being appointed Warden at Bledsoe County Correctional Complex in December 2014.
“Doug Cook devoted his life to the service of others; his family, his colleagues and the people of Tennessee. He will be deeply missed, and our prayers are with his family and friends,” said TDOC Commissioner Tony Parker.
