Bledsoe County Mayor announces he’s not seeking reelection

BLEDSOE COUNTY, Tenn, (WDEF) — Bledsoe County Mayor Gregg Ridley announced he is not seeking reelection during the 2026 election.

Ridley will continue as Mayor until the new Mayor is sworn in on August 31, 2026.

“I have been blessed to work alongside a Board of County Commissioners who care about their constitutes, and the future generations of our county. Having the opportunity to work with the other dedicated elected and appointed officials  has been very gratifying.”

Ridley served five terms, mounting up to 20 years total as the Bledsoe County Mayor.
