Bloodanooga Returns to UTC

Blood Assurance

Blood Assurance is teaming up with UTC for the annual Bloodanooga blood drive.

They say they are facing a critical need for donors of all blood types, as well as platelet and plasma donors.

Blood Assurance says they have just a 1–2 day supply of both O-negative and O-positive blood.

They share these blood types are especially important because O-negative is often used in emergency situations when there isn’t time to determine a patient’s blood type, while O-positive is the most commonly used blood type in hospitals.

Blood Assurance supplies the Chattanooga-area hospitals.

The blood drive details are as follows:

Where: UTC, University Center – Tennessee Room at 615 McCallie Avenue
When: Monday & Tuesday, March 9–10
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Donor Gifts:
*St. Patrick’s Day themed “Lucky Me. I Save Lives.” socks (all donors, while supplies last)
*Limited edition tumblers for platelet, plasma, and double red cell donors
$25 e-gift cards for O-negative blood donors and AB-plasma donors
