Blue Cross Blue Shield Add To Diversity Scholarship Fund
CHATTANOOGA,TN,(WDEF)- The program will now offer three, 10,000 dollar scholarships to minorities pursuing a medical career.
The closing date has also been extended until April 1st.
The scholarships will be awarded to undergrads who show outstanding achievements in academics and community service.
Ronald Harris of Blue Cross Blue Shield,"It helps us to close the healthcare disparity gap, not only that but it produces health care professionals that will be vital to our state in the years coming, additionally this is one of our ways to give back to the community, we have three scholarships available at ten thousand dollars each."
