HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Getting to the Blue Hole on North Chickamauga Creek could be a bit dicey this week.

The popular swimming hole was shut down over the weekend because of flash flooding.

Rescue crews were called on Saturday for about a dozen people and a dog.

Access to the Blue Hole requires crossing the creek.

So, water teams had to help them get back safely.

As of Tuesday morning, officials said the trails in the park are back open, but you cannot cross the creeks.
