Body found in the Tennessee River

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Hamilton County officials are investigating a body discovered Monday morning in the Tennessee River.

Some carpenters first spotted it around 8 AM floating near a boathouse along homes on Suck Creek Road, in the 2400 block.

Officials are not saying whether the victim is male or female at this point.

They have no idea yet how it got into the River.
