Boil Water advisory for Lookout Mountain customers of Dade County

TRENTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Dade County Water & Sewer Authority has issued a boil water advisory for their customers on Lookout Mountain.

They have suffered a main water line break that has dropped pressure to some parts of the system to dangerously low levels.

So some customers could get backflow or back-siphonage water into the system.

So if you have experienced water outages or low pressure, boil all water before drinking, cooking or preparing baby food.

Continue heating it at least one minute after it reaches a rolling boil.

The areas affected are Hwy 157 south of Hwy 136, Old State Road, Yankee Road in the Mt. Carmel and Head River area. Other areas affected are North and South Moore Road, Plum Nelly Road and parts of Hwy 136 East of Hwy 189.

Only customers that have lost water on Lookout Mountain since Thursday are affected.

For questions or concerns, contact 706-657-4341 or 706-657-6097.
