Bradley Central Falls to Maryville 42-14 in Regular Season Finale
Cleveland, TN-(WDEF-TV) Bradley Central had a chance to share their region title on Thursday night if they could upset region kingpin Maryville in their regular season finale. But the Rebels were too strong posting a 42-14 victory. Maryville scored two touchdowns in the first quarter, and then Tee Hodge made it 21-0 early in the second quarter with a short touchdown run. The Rebels A.J. Davis made a juggling catch for 50-yards, which helped set up another Rebels touchdown. Bryson Teffeteller went two yards untouched around right end to make it 28-0. With less than 40-seconds before halftime, Bradley Central quarterback Dylan Standifer threw deep on third and nine. The Rebels were in position for the interception, but missed. Ball went right to Tray Curry who went in for a 79-yard touchdown to make it 28-7 with 29 seconds to go in the half. Maryville got a great kick return, and they added another touchdown before halftime. A-J Davis made another juggling catch in the end zone for the score to make it 35-7 at the break. Each team added a touchdown in the second half. Maryville will host a first round playoff game next week, while Bradley Central will hit the road to open the playoffs.
