Bradley County Deputy Injured During Brawl on a Staircase
Cleveland (WDEF) A Bradley County Deputy was transported to the hospital Monday night for injuries he sustained during an arrest.
Deputies James Dearth and Jimmy Dale Liner were trying to speak to a man at his home on talon ridge Drive about a disturbance.
They say they met Mark nelson in an upstairs room in the house, where he became aggressive.
They tried a Tazer, but it didn’t work.
In the struggle, the sheriff says Nelson pushed Deputy Dearth’s foot, who then fell down 16 stairs.
The pair was eventually able to handcuff the suspect, who faces a charge of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
