Bradley County Jail inmate dies after found unresponsive

BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — An inmate died in the Bradley County Jail on Monday.

Correctional officers and medical staff found the inmate unresponsive.

They then attempted lifesaving efforts and transported the inmate to Tennova Hospital.

At the hospital, medical personnel pronounced the inmate as deceased.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is now looking into the incident.

Bradley County notified the family of the inmate.

However, they have not released the identity of the inmate or any other information since the investigation is ongoing.
