Bradley County prescription fraud round up

Bradley County, TN (WDEF) – The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office and the Tenth Judicial District Drug Task Force make several arrests of Atlanta residents for different prescription fraud cases.

A Cleveland pharmacy reported a forged prescription for Promethazine with Codeine on August 15th.

Agents attempted to catch the suspects, but they fled in a vehicle.

They refused to stop even after emergency lights and sirens were turned on.

Agents put their vehicles to block the suspects’ vehicle.

James Bloodworth and Jordan Cornelius were arrested.

The investigation revealed that Bloodworth dropped off the forged prescription, and Cornelius tried to pick it up.

They’re charged with prescription fraud and conspiracy to commit prescription fraud.

Bloodworth also faces charges of felony evading and aggravated assault; plus he has drug charges pending in South Carolina.

In another investigation, drug agents arrested Ashley Tindley, Charles Brown, and Reshunda Singleton when they tried to pick up a fraudulent prescription for the same medication .

Agents arrested Tindley as she tried to pick up the forged prescription.

They stopped a vehicle a short distance from the pharmacy and arrested Brown and Singleton.

All three face charges of conspiracy to commit prescription fraud and two counts of prescription fraud.

The Tenth Judicial District Drug Task Force Director Bill Cherry says the arrests are indicative of the increasing number of prescription fraud cases that are being perpetrated by groups traveling to Bradley County from metro Atlanta and other areas.
