When FireFighters entered the home, they found two victims, Benjamin Lawrence Senior and Adrian Lawrence.

The two men would then be taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries and later transferred to a regional burn center.

Lewis says as the fire developed Benjamin Lawrence Junior would also be found in the home..

“Later, as fire crews continued to work the scene. They tragically found a third victim who had deceased in the fire,” said Lewis.

Benjamin Lawrence Senior and Adrian Lawrence died later at the burn center.

Larry Davis, who knew Benjamin Lawrence Senior, considered him and his sons well respected neighbors.

“He was just so good,” said Davis. “He spoke to you every time he seen you, and even uptown or anywhere. I used to work with Adrian, that is one his sons that died. And If I was out in the yard we would blow the horn, he  would wave. I never had no problem out of them, any of them.”

Davis believes the Lawrence’s will always remain as special people in the community.

“My prayers go out to the family. One of the sons was not here it is a sad day yesterday, it is a sad day, because they were nice people they never bothered nobody,” Davis concluded.
