Bradley County woman arrested after dog reportedly shot
CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Bradley County deputies responded to a residence after a report of a dog had been shot on November 23, 2025.
Witnesses reported that Crystal Palmer got a firearm and shot multiple rounds at the dog.
The dog was found deceased after fleeing into the residence.
According to the Bradley County Sheriff’s office, evidence collected at the scene included blood inside a kennel where the dog was housed, a blood trail leading into the residence, and multiple spent .22-caliber casings.
After obtaining a search warrant, detectives discovered the deceased canine inside the residence and it was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office for evaluation.
Palmer was taken into custody and is charged with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.
