Brainerd Advances to the State Tournament After Beating York 49-46

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) Brainerd is headed back to the state tournament in Murfreesboro after beating York Institute on Monday night 49-46. The Panthers are now going to the Elite Eight for the fourth time in the last five years. Wasn’t easy beating the Dragon. Brainerd trailed be two going into the fourth quarter. They captured the lead with just over two minutes to play on an inside bucket from LaDerron Freeman. The Panthers were unable to seal the win down the stretch because of missed free throws. The Dragons had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but their three point shot was no good.
