Brainerd Downs Fairview 63-60 in State Quarterfinals

Brainerd knocked off Fairview 63-60 in the quarterfinals of the Blue Cross State Championships on Thursday in Murfreesboro. Dennis Lewis Jr led four Panthers in double figures with 16 points. Brainerd hit 80-percent of their shots in the third quarter to build a nice cushion. They got the lead to 20 in the fourth quarter before Fairview made it interesting down the stretch. The Panthers advance to the semifinals where they will face Alcoa Friday at 5:30 est.
