Brainerd High School student arrested

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — On Thursday, October 30 at approximately 8:50am staff and students reported a weapon inside a classroom at Brainerd High School.

Witnesses say a juvenile student waved a knife and pointed it at another student in a threatening manner during an altercation.

A staff member was able to persuade the student to surrender the knife.

No injuries were reported.

The student was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center, where they were charged with Carrying a Weapon on School Property and Aggravated Assault.
