Brainerd Road Shooting Arrest

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police made an arrest after a man was shot on Brainerd Road over the weekend.

James Dupree is charged with attempted 1st degree murder, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon.

According to investigators, Dupree got into an argument with the victim.

That lead to a fight, then Dupree shot him.

The victim suffered life threatening injuries.

The crime happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday (5-14) in the 5500 block of Brainerd Road.

No official word yet on the victim’s name or condition.
