Brainerd-Tyner game canceled tonight after student found with gun on Brainerd campus

Police say the charges against the student are Possession of a firearm on school property, Aggravated Assault x 2, Disorderly Conduct, & Reckless Endangerment.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A student was taken into custody after a gun was found in his possession at Brainerd High.
Tim Hensley says a student was coming to school for the night program at Brainerd Friday when a gun was found in his possession in the parking lot/bus area as the student entered school grounds.
Hensley says, “the school SRO acted quickly and [because of] his keen observance and quick action,” the “situation” was taken care of before the student entered the school.
No one was injured.
The juvenile student was taken into custody by Chattanooga Police, according to the Hamilton County Schools spokesperson Tim Hensley.
