Brand News: Harris Teeter Grocery Chain Pulling Out of Tennessee
Nashville, TN (WDEF) – Hopes that Harris Teeter could one day shake up the Chattanooga grocery market seems to have taken a hit.
The chain is shutting down their only presence in Tennessee.
They are converting three stores in Nashville into Krogers and closing their fourth.
Kroger bought out Harris Teeter in 2013, but is keeping the North Carolina brand going at about 220 stores nationwide.
After the Nashville pullout, the nearest Harris Teeter stores to us will be in Asheville, NC and the Georgia coast.
