Brewer jury selection begins in Nashville

NASHVILLE (WDEF) – The jury selection for the trial of Benjamin Brewer begins Thursday in Nashville..

A jury will be picked in Davidson County and then the trial returns to Chattanooga on the 22nd.

Prosecutors say Brewer had drugs in his system during the 2015 crash that killed six people on Interstate 75 in Ooltewah.

Brewer faces a number of charges including DUI.

The District Attorney General’s office tells us they expect to pick 16 members and finish the job today.
