Brush fires in Walker County contained as of this morning, officials say
WALKER COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The brush fires in northern Walker County are contained as of this morning.
According to Walker County officials, fire and smoke will still be seen within the containment zone.
Fire officials expect this to last through Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Residents with respiratory issues are advised to stay indoors.
Fire officials are actively monitoring the containment zone.
Walker County officials stated A team of U.S. Forest Service Hotshots will be performing fire suppression activities to stop fire spread and lower fire intensity near containment lines.
