Budweiser Clydesdales to prance in Veterans Day parade
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) – The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales will prance in Birmingham’s Veterans Day parade.
The National Veterans Day Foundation says the Clydesdales will arrive in Birmingham on Nov. 9 and participate in the Nov. 11 parade, which will have nearly 4,000 participants, including vintage military vehicles and aircraft.
Al.com reports the parade is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and begins at 18th Street North and 8th Avenue North in downtown.
The Clydesdales will be stabled in the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex’s paved parking area. They will be available for public viewing until they leave Nov. 14.
Budweiser’s Clydesdales and beer wagon have been a symbol of the beer brand since 1933. The horses first appeared in the Super Bowl in 1986, and have appeared in more than 25 Super Bowl commercials for Anheuser-Busch.
