Business owner draws gun on man she caught trying on women’s clothing after break in

DECATUR, Ala. (AP) – A Decatur man was held at gunpoint by a business owner when she found him inside her store trying on woman’s clothes.

Decatur police tell local media that 57-year-old Danny Herman Cantrell was arrested Tuesday on charges of third-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Kendra Morris, co-owner of Xclusive Hair and Boutique, says she found Cantrell inside her store shortly before 9 a.m. She says Cantrell was wearing only women’s pants that came from the store.

Morris says she pulled a gun on him and backed out through the door. Cantrell re-locked the door from the inside, and Morris called police.

Police spokesman Lt. John Crouch says officers believe Cantrell was intoxicated.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Cantrell has an attorney.
