Butch Jones Reportedly Taking Job at Maryland as Tight Ends Coach

Looks like the intern program is over for Butch Jones at Alabama.
According to 24/7 Sports, Jones is reportedly set to become the new tights end coach at Maryland.

Jones of course used to be the head coach at Tennessee, but when he was fired, he took a job as an offensive analyst with the Crimson Tide this past season. It was an off the field coaching role. Now Jones is set to follow Tide offensive coordinator Mike Locklsey to Maryland.

Locksley was recently named the Terrapins new head coach, and he’s bringing Jones along to be an associate head coach and tight ends coach.

During Jones’ tenure as the Vols head coach, he produced a 34-27 record.
