Car crash leaves one dead on East Brainerd Rd.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to multi-vehicle crash at the 9800 block of East Brainerd Road.

At 4 p.m., EMS personnel responded to a fatal accident involving two vehicles.

Investigations revealed the first vehicle went off the roadway, over corrected, driving into oncoming traffic, striking a vehicle headed in the opposite direction.

The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced dead upon arrival, and the driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Names are being withheld until the next of kin has been notified.
