Cartersville Police arrest 2 people for burglary of fireworks
CARTERSVILLE, Ga. (WDEF) — Authorities arrested a man and a woman for their involvement in the burglary of a fireworks store, according to the Cartersville Police Department.
They explained that on Saturday, June 15, a Bartow County deputy tried to perform a traffic stop on a U-Haul box truck that was behind the Cartersville Crossing shopping center.
However, police said the couple fled the scene. Deputies pursued them and eventually the U-Haul truck stopped. But at that point, police said the two got out and ran on foot.
Cartersville Police said Adrian Jamar Daniels was arrested on the scene.
During the arrest, authorities searched the U-Haul and found a large quantity of fireworks stolen from the Great Grizzly Fireworks Store on E. Main Street.
Daniels now faces the following charges.
- Burglary
- Theft by taking
- Theft by receiving
- Fleeing and eluding
- Altering a tag with intent to conceal identity of a vehicle
- Failure to obey a traffic control device
- Driving while license suspended
- Obstruction
Cartersville Police also arrested Sharina Victoria Jackson for her involvement.
They charged her with “party to a crime for her role in the burglary,” the police department said.
Authorities booked them both into the Bartow County Jail.
