Catoosa County fires their 911 & EMA director
RINGGOLD, Georgia (WDEF) – The director of Catoosa county’s 911 and Emergency Management Agency has been fired.
Dennis Thayer, who has had that job since March of 2018, was fired by county Manager Alesia Vaughn for insubordination.
Vaughn says Thayer has not created policies for his department, as ordered and was attending too many training courses.
Thayer has appealed the firing to the Catoosa county commission.
