Catoosa school superintendent Denia Reese is retirng
School board plans to promote from within
RINGGOLD, Georgia (WDEF) – Catoosa County school superintendent Denia Reese is planning on retiring at the end of the current school year.
She has run the school system for 16 years.
In making the announcement, the Board of Education says they will stick to their tradition of hiring from within to find her replacement.
The system has found their candidates for other positions through their Aspiring Leader Academy.
So they will do that again to search for new superintendent candidates.
Applications can be sent through the website from October 1-18.
Only if they fail to find a qualified candidate locally, will they go outside the system.
