Catoosa Toy Ride
This past Sunday marked the 27th annual Catoosa Toy Run.
Roughly 1,000 bikers participated in the ride.
The group started in front of Big Lots in Fort Oglethorpe, with stuffed animals and toys strapped to the back of their bikes.
The participants made their way to Ringgold High School, where hundreds of gifts were dropped off.
Members of the Ringgold JROTC and Sheriff Department helped bag the toys and load them into the truck.
"Every year that I see the motorcycles it always brings tears to my eyes every time I see them. Because I know they’re helping a family that’s not going to get a Christmas this year," says volunteer Joshua Smith.
Ringgold JROTC junior Arial McCoy says, "It actually makes me happy to see how many bikers just bring out toys. It’s amazing that they’ll bring out toys for kids they don’t even know,".
1,400 kids received Christmas gifts last year as the result of the annual Catoosa County Toy Run.
To donate, you can take gifts to First Volunteer Bank in Ringgold or Fort Oglethorpe.
