CCHS student charged after threatening mass violence
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Cumberland County High School (CCHS) student was charged after threatening mass violence.
On Thursday, August 21, 2025, several students at CCHS reported to teacher that another student threatened mass violence.
School officials, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), the Crossville Police Department (CPD), and other agencies responded to conduct an investigation.
No weapons were located during the course of the investigation.
According to CCSO, school operation were able to continue without interruption.
As a result, a juvenile student was charged with Threat of Mass Violence on School Property.
