Central High student charged after social media threat
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is charging a Central High School student with threat of mass violence on school property.
They said a student made a social media post involving a firearm.
The School Resource Deputy for Central High School then located the student. The school’s administration conducted a search and determined that the student was not in possession of a firearm.
The HCSO said the student is being charged because of the social media threat.
That student is facing a Class A misdemeanor.
Police said no further information is available because the student is a juvenile.
