CFC Opens a New Era of Soccer

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) It’s a new era for the CFC this weekend.
They kick off in a brand new league.

The Boys in Blue are now apart of the MLS NEXT Pro League. They’ll play their league opener Saturday afternoon, as they host Huntsville City. When your league carries the MLS name, you expect better competition, so you better get some good players.

Said head coach Rod Underwood: “We really went out, and we searched to try and find the right players. We had a plan how we wanted to achieve it right? We knew that we’re not the big boys. We’re the little guys. We used to be the big boys in NISA. So the same sort of confidence we had in getting the players that we wanted, we know that we were waiting.”
