CFD busy with multiple weekend fires

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A home caught fire in Chattanooga early Sunday morning.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured, the Chattanooga Fire Department says.

Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of this fire.

It happened on the 1100 block of Willow Street just before 5 a.m.

The day prior, the fire department also extinguished a fire at a “boarded-up, vacant structure.”

They state this fire happened on the 2000 block of East 34 Street at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.

They gave no further information on this fire.
