CHATTANOOGA, TN. (WDEF)– Saturday marks one year since a Chattanooga landmark was heavily damaged by arson.

On June 10th of 2022, a massive fire damaged the Old Highland Park Baptist church and soon spread over to the Chauncey-Goode Auditorium.

No one was injured, but investigators have yet to catch the arsonist responsible for the incident.
The fire department is asking for your help in identifying this man.
They received many tips following the fire, but none of them led to any arrests.
Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for any tips that lead to an arrest.
“This was a tremendously huge firefighting operation. To see that burn the way that it did was hard for a lot of folks within the community, and so now that we’re a year later, we wanted to put it back out and ask the public once again for their help. Someone out there knows something; someone out there saw something. We want to see this through, and we want to make sure that no stone is left unturned. We hope that the reward in this case is an incentive to do so, but also, there’s that moral compass. This was a church,” said Chattanooga Fire Department Public Information Officer, Lindsey Rogers.
The CFD is dedicated to bringing this case to a close and finding who was responsible for setting the fire.

If you know anything about this case, you can contact the Tennessee Arson Hotline at 1-800-762-3017.
