CFD rescue seven people in Frazier Avenue apartment fire

UPDATE: The Chattanooga Fire Department was called for a two-alarm apartment fire at 417 Frazier Avenue at around 1:30 A.M.

Firefighters found smoke and flames coming from the parking garage. Several vehicles were on fire and heavy smoke filled the entire building.

Due to the thick smoke, residents were unable to escape. Several people were helped down by an aerial ladder from the fourth floor, while others were led down a back staircase.

Seven people were rescued and five people were taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.

The fire was under control by 2:30 A.M.

Several residents are now displaced and have damaged vehicles.

Firefighters rescued seven people, with five people being transported to a local hospital.

Currently, it is an active scene.
