CHA Voucher Program hopefuls can sign up online Monday only

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Housing Authority creates a new waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
Monday only, applicants can apply online.
Then on October 26th, officials say 1,000 people will be picked randomly to be placed on the waiting list.
The federal program assists low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled.
CHA says the goal is to provide affordable, safe, and sanitary housing options to as many people as possible.
Lakeisha Mason of the Chattanooga Housing Authority said, "It’s a google application that we go into to do the application. It’s basically a pre app. It’s not the full housing choice voucher application. It is just the application to get them on the waiting list. So, we just need basic demographic information in order to do that."
The online application process closes at midnight.
No paper applications will be accepted.
