Chatt State softball wins championship, advances to national tournament

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga State Lady Tigers are on a tear, with a 16-game win streak and some championship bling already in hand.

A combination of ace pitching from Samantha Ryan and hot hitting put Chatt State on top of Walters State in Thursday’s TJCCAA championship game, 5-0. Ryan allowed just three hits while striking out six.

Next up, Lady Tigers head to Yuma, Arizona for the NJCAA national tournament in two weeks.
