Chattanooga aggravated arson arrest
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – A Chattanooga man is behind bars after he allegedly tried to burn down a house.
36-year-old Arthur Tatum faces an aggravated arson charge.
Chattanooga Fire officials say they responded to a fire on Parkdale Avenue just after midnight Wednesday morning.
Chattanooga Police arrived first and found evidence of a fire on the garage attached to the house.
Firefighters put it out with a portable fire extinguisher.
Officers also noticed the smell of gas and called fire investigators.
Fire investigators upgraded Tatum’s charge because the fire endangered the lives of an adult and a child in the house.
They say it was related to a domestic dispute.
