Chattanooga Boat Show docks for the weekend
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The boat show is setting up shop at the Chattanooga Convention Center and will be here till Sunday.
The Chattanooga boat show is bringing the boats to you.
Michael Porter a sales rep with Erwin Marine Sales says, “This is the only time of year you’re going to have all these different brands and different dealerships under one roof. It makes buying really easy. I’ve done this show for a long time and I have to say this is probably one of the better setups I have seen. We’ve got some of these dealers over here got great looking booths. We have a couple boats in the air. Every booth here looks amazing and they’ve done such a really good job.”
And what better time than right before boating season.
Porter says, “The boat show is the place to buy a new boat if you are in the market. You are not going to find a better deal. Every dealership has put in a lot of work, time, and money to set this up and we plan on leaving the show with some deals. That’s why you should come to the show.”
The Boat Show also offers some unique events.
Ryan Jones is the Boat Show director. He says, “One of the big things is this Saturday at 9am we have a boating safety class. Anybody born after 1989 in the state of Tennessee requires that safety class to be able to operate a boat. We encourage you to come out. It is a free class. Show up a little bit before 9 and everyone who takes the class gets a free ticket to the show.”
All ages are welcome.chatt
Jones says, “Family fun. I love seeing little kids come in and jump in the boats. It is like their boating adventure is starting here. I love seeing families having fun here.”
The boat show is open Friday 12 to 8, Saturday 10-8 and Sunday 11 to 5.
Tickets are 25 dollars for the whole weekend and 15 dollars a day.
Kids 6 through 12 are 5 dollars and children under 5 are free.
