Chattanooga Chefs Face Off Live

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – From sizzling skillets to secret ingredients, Sunday’s Chattanooga Market turned into a live-action kitchen stadium.

Before most shoppers arrived, five local chefs rolled up their sleeves and got to work setting up cooking stations and scouting the Market for the freshest local ingredients.

This year’s FiveStar Food Fight gave competitors a surprise protein right before start time, challenging them to create a standout dish on the spot.

From 11 to 2:30, marketgoers gathered to watch these food truck chefs, and one baker work their magic.

Using FiveStar ranges, they chopped, seared, and plated for a panel of judges all under the open-air roof of First Horizon Pavilion. We caught up with Chasty Lane the winner of the 2025 FiveStar Food Fight who had this to say about being crowned champion.

“It just feels so good. It’s so fun because I love the market so I wanted to actually I wanted to join last year because I have been competing at the kitchen incubator I won I think maybe all of those competitions and I said well let me just try a five star cause I’m at the market so people give me a chance people know who I’m really is so I decided if I asked you know I’m ready to compete I wanted to compete this year”

It’s all part of the Chattanooga Market’s mission: connecting local food vendors to the community in creative and delicious ways.

The Chattanooga Market hosts the FiveStar Food Fight each summer so if you missed it this time, there’s always next year to catch the culinary action.
