Chattanooga firefighters extinguish apartment fire in 10 minutes
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A vacant apartment caught fire Friday afternoon but was out within minutes of firefighters’ arrival.
The fire broke out at City View Apartments on Citico Avenue.
It happened shortly after 3:45 p.m. on December 15.
Upon firefighters’ arrival, they reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the S building.
Crews made their way into the apartment and had the flames out in 10 minutes.
The Chattanooga Fire Department says they are investigating to determine what caused the fire.
Fortunately, there were no injuries.
However, the apartment received fire damage, and another apartment received water damage, firefighters said.
