Firefighters respond to house fire / Chattanooga Fire Dept.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A house caught fire in East Lake on Monday and now authorities are investigating to determine the cause.

The fire broke out at a home in the 3100 block of 12th Avenue on November 27. Firefighters were called to the scene around 11 a.m.

Firefighters said they saw a lot of smoke coming from the area when they started nearing the house.

They later found the flames in the back left corner of the building.

Fire crews did not find anyone inside the house, and no one was injured.

They also put out the fire before it reached the attic, according to the fire department.
